Famous for its panoramic, mist-covered views of rolling tea plantations and the majestic Chokramudi Peak, it is often described as a hidden gateway to the clouds. It has become popular among visitors for its spectacular panoramic views of the Western Ghats, long view of Lockhart tea factory & Tea Bungalow, rolling tea plantations, and mist-covered valleys. The viewpoint is especially known for its decorative "Door of Heaven" frame, which creates the illusion of stepping through a doorway into the mountains.

The viewpoint is generally accessible during daylight hours. Early morning and late afternoon are the best times for photography and mountain views.

  • Wear comfortable footwear, as some areas may have uneven ground. 
  • Carry drinking water and a light jacket, especially during mornings and evenings. 
  • Weather can change quickly in the hills, so visibility may vary. How to reach “Door of Heaven” By walk: It’s about half an hour walking distance from Lockhart Tea factory.
