  • Marayoor Sandal Wood Forest : It is located at around 42 Kms north of Munnar throught the Udumalppetta route.This is famous of the natural sandal wood forest.not only that ,this place said to be part of ancient stone age civilization dated back to 10,000 B.C.Stone age paintings, rock edicts and dolmens found there vouch for this rich heritage.There is a "Sandalwood Regeneration Experimental Plot" here from where one can learn more on the fragrant tree.Marayoor has a natural sandalwood forest with around 65,000 trees.
     
  • Eighth Mile : It is the high point of the route. You can stop here and enjoy snow.the evening view is spectacular.if you are lucky,you can see black monkeysin the nearby chola forest.From the 8th mile it is down hill to Marayoor. It is a narrow road . should be kept.
     
  • Rock Painting : Similar to dolmens,rock paiting at Marayoor are also prehistoric remains.Rock painting can see at Attala , Ezhuttu Guha also known as Ezhuthala cave, Kovilkadavu  and Madathal. Ezhuthu Guha is now declared as a protected monument by the Kerala State Archeological Department.
     
  • Muniyara : Dolmens are stone coffins of cave like structure considered to be existed in Marayoor since Stone Age. Some Dolmens have under ground tunnels too. These caves differ in size and shape, made by granite slabs.Bsaed on the archaeological survey reports some of the dolmens found here 5000 years old.Before knowing the historical importance of these structures many of the dolmens have been destroyed or damaged by wild fire and anti-social elements.
     
  • Karimutty Waterfalls : It is located at an elevaion of about 550 feet in the Western Ghats attracting tourist from all over.The water here passes over a lot of medicinal herbs,and therefore has the capacity to cure a number of ailments.the force of the water on top of our body while we take bath makes us feel free of all tensions and worries, and completely relaxes us.
     
  • Marayoor Jaggery : It is derived from sugarcane and is a type of cane sugar. it comes in different forms, from semi-liquid to solid blocks of distinct shapes and sizes. Marayoor jaggery has high nutritional value as it is rich in fiber and vital nutrients and is free from chemicals.  Here, more than 2500 acres of land is under sugarcane cultivation.
     
  • Rajivgandhi Children's Park : It is spread across a hectare under the vast canopy of a single banyan tree.From the park one can spot monkeys, deer and other animals in the adjoining reserve forest.it is located 40 Kms from Munnar. This park comes under the Marayoor Sandal Division, Marayoor Range. 
     
  • Thirthamala : It is a beautiful mountain range which will blow your mind away with incredible natural beauty. It is a located in Marayoor village in Idukki District. The terrain is highly undulating with altitude ranging from 500 m at chinnar to over 2300 m at Nandala malai,and the same varying topography of Marayoor.Natural  Vegetation includes tropical evergreen forest and grasslands.
