Anamudi Peak is the highest peak in South India at an elevation of 2,695 metres (8,800 ft). Situated on the top of the Eravikulam National Park, this peak is the pride of Idukki district, Kerala. Anamudi is also known as Anai Mudi and has a topographic prominence of 2,479 metres. The Anamudi peak is famous for trekking expeditions in Munnar.

If you prefer a more relaxed tour, a minibus safari to the viewpoint is available from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The park may be closed during the breeding season of the Nilgiri Tahr, typically from February to March.
