Senkulam Dam
The latest dam site in Munnar which is slowly turning out to be a busy place thanks to the newly developed boating centre recently. Multiple options of peddle boats, speed boats and large boats. Speed Boat ride is one of the best attractions and activities here. During summer months occasionally fishing is also allowed. The lake is surrounded by Letchmi hills on the north, Chokkan Mudi peak on the east and the valley of Vellathoval and Adimaly Panchayat and Pettumudi peaks on the South-West; hence one can get a spectacular 360-degree view from the lakeside. One can also go for cycling on the less crowded roads to the nearby villages.
The accessibility to the dam for boating is the best among all other dams in Munnar. Boat service is provided by Kerala Hydel Tourism department and is open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Fantastic views make it a wonderful photo point. It is 16 Km from Munnar town.
