The trek will start at the height of 1420 meters MSL (approx). We will start through the tea plantations for about 30 to 40 minutes. After reaching the top of the hill, the rest of our couple of hours trek will be on the ridge which offers beautiful views around. It will be through grasslands, with one side being a rocky mountain slope and the other side having tea plantations, patches of Shola forest, etc. On a clear sky day, we could see Anaimudi, the highest peak in South India, and the water reservoir of Idukki Dam, listed as the highest arch dam in Asia and the third tallest dam in India.
We will have refreshments or a picnic lunch at a suitable place during the trek. Our trek will pass through Nature Zone, where we can see exotic spices like Coffee, Cardamom, etc. It is also one of the best places to spot endemic birds of this part of the Western Ghats. The trek will conclude with another 40 minutes to 1-hour walk through the tea plantations, with the highest point of this trek being about 1950 meters MSL (approx).
